SwitchBot + Claude Fixed My DAS Power Button Problem

I have a dumb situation where the DAS I got for my external hard drives has a physical power button. When my power cycles off, which happens during storms or whenever I trip a circuit in my attic, my external drives do not mount to my Mac Mini home server on auto-restart.

I picked up a SwitchBot for 25 bucks on Amazon, but did not want to have to buy the hub, which allows you to control it remotely from your phone. Instead I just told Claude to write a login script that checks whether the drives are mounted whenever the computer restarts, and if they are not, triggers the SwitchBot over Bluetooth directly to turn on my DAS. On the first pass, it found the Bluetooth code from the device and triggered it by itself, without me having to do any setup whatsoever.

Then I had Claude design the mounting plate I needed to attach it to my DAS, and I 3D printed it and it all works!
