Our family of three is about to be a family of five!

We have some BIG NEWS… we are having identical twin boys!

Surprise… plot twist… holy shit!

And they will arrive in less than a week!

Mandy is scheduled for an induction for Thursday November 3rd, which also happens to be her birthday. If they don’t arrive before then and labor isn’t too long Mandy and the boys will share a birthday!

Fun fact: We found out we were having twins on April 1st! Mandy went in for an early ultrasound at the doc and Ben stayed home with Harper since kids weren’t allowed. When she got home it took A LOT of convincing that it was not an elaborate April Fool’s prank that the doctor was in on. And really he wasn’t entirely sure of its validity until the next day – due to the statute of limitations on April Fool’s pranks.

We would love any meal assistance you can provide! If you are far away, door dash / grub hub options are available. Mandy is less able to prepare food already, so frozen meals now that we can thaw later are amazing!	We saved all of the gear from Harper but it turns out we need more for two! If you have any of these items at home, we are happy to take hand-me-downs. Note: We will take any and all hand-me-down baby clothes especially anything in newborn/premie sizes. We are pretty short on that but don’t want to buy that shit new since they will wear it for such a short period of time. And while we have boys, we don’t mind them wearing pink/girly clothes.

Harper love:

While Harper is very excited for HIS babies to come, it’s been a little bit of a tender time. We want to make him feel really special even when he’s got two little usurpers joining our family.

Live nearby? This is unabashedly an ask for the gift of childcare. It can be a playdate or simple trip to the playground or park, baking (one of his favorite things,) a trip to the library or anything you want to do. We have a calendly for folks to book a special date with him.

Nov 1: Taking it easy, it is just a waiting game now!

October 12th: Some recent false alarms had us in the L&D wing, but still in a holding pattern.

October 3rd: Mandy is doing well, but feeling the physical strain of carrying two. She has officially started maternity leave. Harper is excited for HIS babies to arrive. Ben is getting kicked out of his office to make room, and we are all in nesting mode.
